The two Albanian prisoners who escaped from Kassavetia prison in Greece yesterday evening have been identified.

The first is Romeo Qosja, 41 years old from Cerrik, sentenced by the Athens Court to 20 years in prison for murder, robbery, destruction of property by fire and illegal possession of weapons, reports Top Channel's correspondent in Greece, Artur Bibe.

The second person is Lefter Toçi, 41 years old from Bradashesh, Elbasan, sentenced by the Athens Court to 20 years in prison for participation in a criminal organization, complicity in murder, injury resulting in death, robbery, and destruction of property by fire.

They had been in the Cassavetes prison since 2019 and were being held in an unfenced area due to good behavior. They turned out to have received 5 leaves during 2024. Apparently, they took advantage of their return from leave a few days ago to plan their escape.
