After the sunny days of early January, this first weekend of 2025 will bring back typical winter weather. Forecasters predict showers, but also snow in mountainous areas.

"Overnight there will be high-intensity rainfall along the Western Lowlands. Snowfall returns tonight during the night and throughout Saturday almost throughout the entire mountainous area. As for Saturday, the intensity of rainfall decreases slightly and we will mainly have snowfall because we will have an immediate drop in temperatures. We expect that on Saturday it will go to -4, -5 in the northeastern areas, -3, -4 in the southeastern areas, making all the precipitation that will fall during the night and on Saturday morning will be snowfall," said Lajda Porja.

Sunday will bring improved weather, but will be accompanied by a significant drop in temperatures.

"Sunday will bring a temporary improvement in weather conditions, which will be a day without precipitation, but cold, as we expect temperatures to drop again on Sunday morning," said Porja.

The same synoptic panorama will be present at the beginning of this year in the countries of the region, but in Kosovo, weather forecasters are warning drivers and pedestrians to be careful with frost on the roads.
