Cocaine trafficking in Italy, GJKKO communicates 'arrest in prison',

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has remanded  Kreshnik Farruku in custody .

During this Thursday's session, the GJKKO upheld the "prison arrest" request requested by the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime against the head of the "Farruku" clan.

Julian Kollçaku and Maksim Ndoci were also left in the cell .  

"I am not the one you claim," Farruku said in the court session at the GJKKO.

These last two were arrested in November last year at the request of Italian authorities, and this Monday they were introduced to a second security measure.

Kreshnik Farruku, known as the head of the "Farruku" clan, was arrested on the evening of January 11, 2025 by order of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime.

Farruku was arrested in Manzë, Durrës, with the aim of his extradition to Italy. The arrest of this citizen, who was under house arrest by the Durrës Court, required the intervention of the RENEA Forces.

The GJKKO has signed the security measure "prison arrest" against him, while days ago he surrendered himself and was under the security measure "house arrest", issued by the Durrës Court.

During the session held on January 7, 2025, the Durrës Court considered the request for the temporary arrest of the Farruku brothers, Kreshnik and Erneo Farruku, after the Brescia Court, with decision No. 12042/2020 RGNR-5352/2021 RI GIP, dated 29.08.2024, imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, as suspects for the offenses "Criminal organization" and "Trafficking in narcotics" provided for by Italian criminal legislation.

The 51-year-old, also known as Kreshnik Budlla, is charged with "Criminal organization" and "Drug trafficking."
