The brother of 40-year-old Gledian Hoxhallari , who was shot by his wife's boyfriend, has stated that his condition is currently stable.

On News 24, he expressed his desire for justice for his brother, adding that the former couple's son, who was at the scene, was questioned in the presence of psychologists.

The injured man's brother added that "I don't know who that mother is who leaves her child on the street and leaves her ex-husband lying there, knowing he is dead, and runs away with her lover."

"Currently, his condition is stable. In the presence of psychologists, the son gave his testimony. Gledian Hoxhallari was shot by his ex-wife's boyfriend in a cafe near "Zog i Zi" in Fier after a fight that started between the three of them over custody of their son.

Everything that happened next is even more shocking when it is learned that the couple's son, who had entered the divorce process, was also at the table with them. And the incident does not stop there. After the young man, who according to the police is the boyfriend of Hoxhallari's ex-wife, injured the 40-year-old, he fled, taking his girlfriend with him.

The child, left between his bleeding father and his mother, asked the latter not to leave, but she ran away, leaving the boy with his father in critical condition.

Hoxhallari was taken to the Trauma Hospital in critical condition where he was placed under intensive care, while the police are searching for the perpetrator and the woman, the mother of the 9-year-old boy.

How did the incident happen?

40-year-old Gledian Hoxhallari and his ex-wife, Melisa Hoxhallari, have reportedly been in divorce proceedings for 3 months.

In the first court hearings, a kind of calendar was also set regarding the custody of the child, specifically the couple's 9-year-old son.

The court has ruled that until the divorce is finalized, the son would stay with his father during the day and with his mother in the evening.

On Sunday, the child stayed with his father all day, and at dinner, Hoxhallari called the boy's mother and decided to meet him at a bar in a place called "Zogu i Zi" in Fier.

The woman had come to pick up her son with her boyfriend, police say, and as soon as they met, they started arguing over custody of the boy, who was present throughout the fight. After a heated argument, the young man, later identified as Klement Beqaj , 25, pulled out a gun and shot Hoxhallari, leaving him wounded in the bar.

The perpetrator fled with 29-year-old Melisa Hoxhallari, leaving the child in the bar with her injured father. In fact, the police immediately announced that they had identified the perpetrator and were pursuing him, but he has not yet been arrested.

From what was later learned from the police, who also received the couple's divorce file, it is known that Melisa had previously reported her ex-husband for violence and that there was a protection order against her, but it is still unknown how the court allowed them to meet, even though an order had been issued against her.

According to Fier police data, it is learned that the little boy is now in the hands of his paternal grandparents, while Klementi and Melisa are wanted for a number of charges.

According to the police, it was learned that on Wednesday, the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier has determined the security measure "Arrest in prison" for these citizens, respectively for citizen KB, for the criminal offenses "Intentional murder", attempted and "Unlicensed production and possession of weapons and ammunition", while for citizen MH, for the criminal offense "Failure to report a crime". The procedural materials were passed to the Fier Prosecutor's Office, for further action!
