Meteorologist Hakil Osmani has made the weather forecast for this week, emphasizing that temperatures will be very low throughout the Albanian territory.
"What will be most problematic this week are the air temperatures. They will be quite low in our territory, causing the minimum values in the northeast, at least until Wednesday, to drop to -10 degrees Celsius. While in the mountainous areas of the southeast, temperatures could reach up to -8 degrees Celsius," said Osmani.
He added that in the western lowlands, there will also be low temperatures during the early morning hours, with minimums ranging from -1 to 5 degrees Celsius.
Regarding Monday afternoon, Osmani stressed that the maximum temperature will not exceed 9 degrees Celsius on the coastline, while in mountainous areas there will be temperatures around 0 or -1 degrees Celsius.
"In the coming days, we will see a slight increase in temperatures, bringing warmer weather into the weekend," he added.
The meteorologist also warned of the possibility of frostbite in road accidents, especially in the northeastern and southeastern areas.
"But the possibility of frost in other areas during the night cannot be ruled out," he stressed.
Speaking about the wind, Osmani announced that there will be winds of up to 65 km per hour, mainly from the northeast, which will contribute to the feeling of colder temperatures.
"However, the worst is over and the rainfall will weaken over the coming days," he concluded.
