Businessman Behar Muçobega was arrested this morning at the Qafë-Botë border point, as he was returning from Greece, after he was wanted since June 1 following the operation of the Saranda Prosecutor's Office related to the alienation of 9920 m2 of state land.
The prosecution issued several arrest warrants for ASHK officials, the Municipality, businessmen and citizens. Behar Muçobega is accused of "falsification of documents", as he is suspected of being one of the beneficiaries of a part of the land.
However, within a few hours of the detention, Muçobega appeared before the Court of Saranda, where the judge Shkëlzen Liçaj imposed the security measure "House Arrest" on him.
The alienated land surface was state land and before alienation it served as a green space, (flower garden), for the city of Saranda. But through the falsification of documents, the approval of construction permits by the municipality of Sarandë and the subsequent mortgaging in the office of the ASHK Sarandë, this land of 10,000 square meters has been alienated to third parties and it is suspected that it will become a hotel.
