"I apologize to my children", after killing the 40-year-old mother

On Friday morning, the 51-year-old Albanian, who took his own life by stabbing his wife Eleonora several times, arrived at the Zakynthos court handcuffed and accompanied by many police officers.

The author is accused of attempted murder, while entering the courts he shouted loudly for an apology for his children, as reported by the Greek media. Before the Criminal Prosecutor of Zakynthos, the murderer-husband appeared remorseful for his grave act.

We recall that the author stabbed his wife last Sunday evening in Tsilivi, Zakynthos. The 41-year-old woman, before she was left dead in her husband's hands, had gone to the local Zakynthos police station, where she had denounced the 51-year-old man for violent and abusive behavior for the second time.

After she returned home and while the authorities were looking for her husband, he waited for her at the entrance of the apartment and after she did not answer, he broke the door.

Then, when Eleonora arrived, he started to beat her and she, in an attempt to escape, ran to the neighbor's stairs, but her husband managed to stop her.

After furiously punching her several times and throwing a vase of flowers at her, he used the knife to kill her with several blows to her neck.

Then the 51-year-old disappeared, to be arrested later in the Marathi area, in Keri, while the murder knife was also found.

The 41-year-old was the mother of three children, two of whom were minors, while their 20-year-old son also reacted to the shocking event.

" The fault is ours because we had not taken the necessary measures. This was our biggest mistake. My mom and I talked about it. She was the perfect mother, I feel sorry for my brothers and we need to find a solution as soon as possible ", said the boy, among other things.
