SPAK requests from the Netherlands the "Matrix" CODES of some Albanian

After securing the intercepts of the encrypted Sky ECC application, SPAK is cooperating with Dutch authorities to obtain the intercepts of the MATRIX application that was declassified a few months ago.

As part of several important investigations that the special prosecution is conducting, it has also evaluated the acquisition of Matrix data.

Therefore, through several letters of request, communications in Matrix have been requested from some of the subjects that SPAK has under investigation, and these are mainly exponents of crime involved in international cocaine trafficking.

At the same time, the prosecution has requested that the Dutch authorities make available the decisions related to the validity and usability of the data obtained from the encrypted Matrix application.

Sources close to SPAK indicate that several letters of request have been sent and, in addition to the Sky ECC wiretaps of people in the criminal world, the Matrix application data will also be used as evidence in the process in the future.

Matrix was a coded platform that was widely used by underworld figures who organized drug trafficking, laundered money, or ordered mafia assassinations.

Since the platform was dismantled, foreign authorities have admitted that it was also used by Albanians.

For the first time, Matrix was discovered on the cellphone of a man convicted of murdering a Dutch journalist in 2021.

Europol stressed that Matrix is ​​a messaging service made by criminals for criminals.
