In order to find the killer of Shefki Kurti, the investigators must find the answers to these two basic questions: why and where was the old man killed? Let's talk about tracks. Dismembering a corpse causes a lot of bleeding, so it is impossible for the killer to clean the place so well without leaving any marks. At first it appeared to have been done in a very crude manner, that is, by a hand that does not seem expert. The killer didn't even try to get rid of the most recognizable parts of the victim, as experienced killers usually do. This is after the head and a piece of the body with a tattoo were found, which hints at the identity of the victim.

However, the exact place where such a gruesome murder was committed still cannot be found. According to his children, Arben, known as Benni and Alketa, their father had no enemies. However, someone, in reality, must have hated Shefki Kurti a lot.

Hating him to the point of killing him mercilessly, wreaking havoc with his corpse and then dumping his body in a canal, hoping it would never be found. The autopsy also revealed the murder weapon and the one used to dispose of the body. Given the clean cuts, it might as well be a circular saw. 

But so far there are no suspects. According to the authorities, Kurti did not take his mobile phone with him when he left the apartment. He also had the car in the garage.

Authorities are investigating the family's finances to find out if they have any debts. According to the investigations, the elderly couple lived with a pension of 1 thousand Euros per month, but they had no financial problems.

Shefki Kurti had gone to Italy in 1991 together with his wife and two small children. He was from Durrës. After arriving in the Italian state, he settled in Villanova del Ghebo and began working in construction.

People have described him as a decent man, and there was never any complaint against him. He bought the house where he lived with his wife a few years ago with great sacrifices and there he raised his two children, Alketa and Arbeni.

The girl has been living in Switzerland with her family for several years, but she returned immediately when she found out about the tragedy. The son, Arbeni, tried his luck in the world of entertainment.

After a career as a DJ he took over the management of a bar. An activity that required a good investment, but Covid has ruined all plans. Now the boy lives with his family in Masi, in the Padova area.
