"They have done us an injustice by leaving us without bread", said the owners and administrators of the vessels in Vlora who came out this Saturday morning in protest.

At the height of the tourist season, due to the tragic event in Himare, no boat will be able to go out to sea starting from yesterday.

This decision, confirmed on August 5 by the new Director of the Border Directorate of Vlora, Eduart Sulejmani, has incited the revolt of the citizens of Vlora, who appeared before the border police today.

Explaining that the case of Himara is undoubtedly a tragic case, an administrator stated that this decision is unfair and that it is leaving them without bread.

Sulejmani said that the vessels that move in the sea must have a series of documents, from those of the vehicle, tourist license, NIPT registered in the NKR, contract with the labor office, be insured, etc. If even one document is missing, administrative measures will be taken until the vessel is blocked.

Two days ago, it was the border police that gave the permits for the dinghies to move in the sea, while the police dinghy was also in the sea, checking the tools for documentation. The police then issued an order not to move any watercraft in the sea.

The decision excludes only watercraft licensed for tourist trips, which will only be allowed to leave the Port and the Harbor and will not be allowed to enter and leave the territories of beaches or piers built illegally and which are not are licensed.
