The fire situation in the Ulëz Administrative Unit, in the Mat Municipality, continues to be critical. For three days, the fire has been out of control, encompassing a significant area of the Lundre area and the Trodhen forest massif.
Last night, flames spread rapidly to the village of Madhesh, endangering the farms and livestock of the residents, reports journalist Enver Doçi.
According to local residents, there are about 250 cows on a farm, as well as a significant number of small livestock, mainly sheep and goats, and several beehives. The area is covered in thick smoke, while it is reported that some livestock have not been found since the fire started.
Despite the intervention of a helicopter for two days and the commitment of numerous forces on the ground, the flames remain out of control. It is reported that hundreds of hectares of forest, with pines, oaks and other types of vegetation, have been burned so far.
Residents are appealing for urgent intervention and more aerial vehicles, as the fire is advancing towards the territory of Kruja, increasing the risk of the flames spreading further.
