A knife attack occurred this afternoon in the pedestrian area at the entrance to the Tirana Castle.

According to the Police, a 39-year-old man was injured with a cutting tool during a conflict.

He is in hospital, out of danger, while work is underway to identify and capture the perpetrator.

"Around 18:15, at the entrance to the Tirana Castle, in the pedestrian area, it is suspected that during a conflict, citizen BD, about 39 years old, was injured with a cutting tool. He is in hospital, out of danger to his life. Work is underway to identify and capture the perpetrator(s).

"Investigative groups continue to work to clarify the circumstances of both cases and their full legal documentation," the Police announced.
