Former Prime Minister Fatos Nano continues to be in serious health condition.

He continues to be hospitalized in the intensive care unit of one of the capital's private hospitals, after a cardiorespiratory arrest he suffered in his apartment.

According to Euronews Albania, the former prime minister is still in serious condition, unconscious and with little reaction to light.

Despite the timely intervention of the ambulance and the medical teams that assisted him, his return to vital heart function was made possible thanks to immediate resuscitation.

Multidisciplinary teams consider his condition very serious and continue to monitor intensive treatment.

According to doctors, the biggest challenge remains reviving the brain, the organ most sensitive to oxygen deprivation during cardiorespiratory arrest, however, care for it continues without interruption.
