In a direct link to the Italian television La7, in the show "In Onda", Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke yesterday about tourism in Albania and Italian tourists in our country.
"We have suffered for many years the stigma we had when we were the ones who came by boat to Italy. It was very difficult but now things have changed as the country has changed. It's fantastic because we haven't spent paying for advertising on televisions across Europe. I hope that this success will help us move forward with our feet on the ground, because it must be said that some Italian newspapers have even exaggerated, saying that we are competing with Italy", said Rama.
Regarding his friendship with the prime minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, Rama answered:
"I'm tall, she's not very tall, but when she speaks and takes a stand, she's even taller than me." She is right-wing, but I also belong to a different left, which is of the line of Blair, Clinton or even Romano Prodi. I think that in international political relations there is something more important, which is the human side of people. On the other hand, I must remember that in the last 30 years, there have been different governments in Italy, but our relations have never been determined by the color of the governments in Rome or Tirana. There has always been harmony between us, it is a matter of history and a common DNA".
