Greece repents! ACCEPTS Albanian aid for extinguishing fires
Albanian firefighters

Greek authorities have accepted Albania's help to send a group of firefighters and doctors to the neighboring country that has been facing massive fires for 5 days.

The decision comes just a few hours after this group of firefighters from Albania returned to the customs point, as it was widely reported in the media that Greece refused the help of our country.

However, the Greek Ministry for Civil Emergencies confirms that the aid has been received.

A group of 58 personnel and 10 vehicles from the Armed Forces and other operational structures of the Albanian Civil Defense System, more specifically, the firefighting structures from the Municipality of Korçë, Dropull, Maliq and Gjirokastër, is already expected to leave for Greece.

The help was requested from Greece through the Albanian Embassy in Athens, which immediately notified the Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi.
