Investigations into the rape of a 22-year-old woman from Kenya who had come to Albania to work in a casino have returned to zero.
After the investigations carried out since August, the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, which has registered the case for the criminal offense of Intentional Serious Wounding, has returned the investigation to the Police, where special duties have been left to the officers of police station no. 1 in the capital.
Top Channel learns that during this week the police officers re-interrogated several people to clarify ambiguities or inconsistencies between their statements and the footage of the security cameras in the area. The first to be questioned was the 22-year-old's roommate who is from Ghana. The staff of the casino and the driver who transported the 22-year-old woman to the residence a few hours before she was found by residents outside the residence in serious condition were also questioned.
Documents from the scientific police taken from the 22-year-old's room, as well as from her body, are expected to help the investigation to identify the people she met before the event that endangered her life.
Based on the forensic expertise, the biggest injuries on the young woman's body were caused by falling from a height, therefore the police have doubts that someone may have pushed her from the room where she was staying. /TCH
