The State Police services throughout the day today, due to the heavy rains, in some regions of the country, have engaged in search and rescue operations, evacuation of citizens, as well as monitoring of road axes.

Up to these moments, based on the reports of the Police officers in the field, it is established that on some national and main rural road axes, there are circulation difficulties due to the presence of water and inerts on some road axes, as a result of the weather bad.

In the district of Tirana , there is water on the main roads, but the situation is not problematic.

In the Durrë district , the Thumanë-Rinas segment, there is water, traffic is normal.

Durrës-Tirana highway, there is water on both sides, the movement of vehicles is normal.

Ring Shkozet - Plepa - Shkëmbi i Kavaja - Durrës, there is water, the circulation of vehicles is slow. "Royal Gas" Highway segment - Stadium Crossing, there is water, vehicle traffic is normal.

In the Gjirokastër district, on the national road axes Kakavijë-Krahes, Qafë e Muzina - Jergucat, Tunneli i Skërfica - Ura e Kardhiqi and Çarshovo - Ura e Lekli, there are no problems for the passage of vehicles. The national and rural roads in the district of Gjirokastra are passable, and there have been no floods. Rural roads are passable, but in the Kolonje-Golem segment, there is an increased presence of inerts on the road.

In the Shkodër district, at the entrance to the city of Shkodra, at Harku i Bërdica, there is water and the axis is passable only for high-tonnage vehicles. Traffic Police services are present monitoring the situation and are directing the traffic of vehicles from the old road.

In the district of Lezha , on the rural road axis Grash-Zojs, Lezha, in the place called Ura e Zojs, the water has reached the level of the bridge, but the movement of vehicles continues without problems until now. On the road axis Lezhe - Lezhë Island, the underpass is covered by water and in this place, the police has blocked the movement of vehicles and the movement has continued through a road adjacent to this road axis.

In the districts of Elbasan, Fier, Vlora, Berat, Korçë, Kukës and Dibër , the movement of vehicles continues normally, on all road axes of these districts.

The State Police appeals "for all drivers of vehicles and motor vehicles to strictly respect the traffic rules, moderate the speed, do not make wrong passes, do not use mobile devices while driving or do not drive vehicles under the influence of alcohol and put on the seat belt.

The State Police is fully engaged with all the logistical means it has in use, so that in case of need it can come to the aid of the citizens, who should immediately notify 112 in case of need".
