The most problematic city in Albania currently is Shkodra, which this Sunday brought back the images of floods from years ago.
The entrance to the city is currently blocked, as the water has flooded the road. The water level at Harku i Berdica reaches several centimeters, making it impossible for small vehicles to move.
Also, the area of Bardhajve had the presence of water in the courtyards of the houses.
Electric poles were also damaged due to heavy rainfall.
The "Ajasem" neighborhood is also problematic, where the only way for residents to communicate with the rest of the city is by boat. There is water in 10 apartments.
In some areas in this city, the water reaches up to 50 centimeters. Due to the numerous inflows, discharges have also started at the Vaut de Deja hydropower plant.
Even Tirana has seen a worsening of the weather this Sunday. Due to the heavy rains that have started since Saturday evening, the level of the Lana River has increased.
The rain has blocked the traffic. The Traffic Police, the Order and the Rapid Intervention Forces are on standby to help citizens and drivers with worsening weather conditions.
Meanwhile, since Saturday evening, Durrës has been engulfed by intense rain, torrential rains and electrical discharges.
