The roads in Durrës are flooded, the sailing of fishing boats is suspended

The deterioration of atmospheric conditions along the entire coast has caused problems in the circulation of vehicles and pedestrians in Durrës.

As a result of strong winds with a south-southeast direction, the coastal areas were affected by the wind at a speed of 15-20 m/s causing along the Albanian coasts, according to the General Maritime Directorate, waves with a height of 1.80-3.50 meters. After postponing the departure time late Saturday evening, ferries resumed sailing to Bari in the early hours of this morning, while ferries from Bari have arrived on time around 08:00.

The authorities have requested the cooperation of the subjects that exercise activity in the maritime field to take all the necessary measures to be safe and prevent any possible danger due to these worsening weather conditions, while announcing that the improvement of the meteorological situation will be after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22. Small tonnage vessels, including the fishing sector, must wait for this date to continue sailing and hunting at sea.

Meanwhile, in the city of Durrës and the villages, the intense rain during the night and this morning has caused difficulties in the circulation of pedestrians and vehicles.

The most problematic neighborhoods are those near the stadium and the Durrës water supply, where the water has invaded the intersections and climbed onto the sidewalks. The situation is also problematic in some secondary roads of Shkozeti and Plazhi.
