The State Police has brought back checkpoints and controls, reflecting an increased and annoying problem for citizens with vehicles.
In the countries of the European Union, where our country intends to join the union, there are no such checks which 'scare' the citizens and bring panic to them.
Police sources told VoxNews that the controls came as an order from the State Police Director, Muhamet Rrumbullaku . The latter promised to remove policemen from Albania's roads for speed checks and added checkpoints inside the cities.
Such shows have long been missing from the capital, but it seems that the new Police Director with ' old mindsets ' has decided to bring back the methods of the past.
But even these checks inside the capital have only had escorts, due to lack of documentation and no escort of the wanted persons.
