Former police officer Jeton Lami, arrested for providing assistance to the much-wanted Jeton Lami, has refused to speak twice.
The Court of Kurbini set the security measure of "prison arrest" for Jeton Lam, the agent of the "FAST" search team in the State Police, who was detained for accompanying and transporting Ervis Martini. Until this stage of the investigation, the agent is suspected to be the main person who may know the truth of the mysterious disappearance of Ervis Martini.
The key man of this case, Jeton Lami, has tried to be interrogated twice on what happened to Ervis Martini and the reasons for his association with the businessman, during the time when he was wanted by the SPAK special prosecution. But in both cases, Lami refused to speak on the record before the investigators.
It is learned that the first attempt to interrogate the agent was made in the premises of the General Directorate of the State Police, where Lami was arrested. According to this court decision, it was 13:04 on August 23, when Lam was informed of the arrest.
Immediately after this procedure, the investigation group that is following the case of Ervis Martini's kidnapping and disappearance, requested to interrogate Lam, but he refused.
The agent refused to give explanations and did this two days later on August 25, 2022, when he appeared before the judge of Laçi, Aurel Arapi.
During the court session for the verification of the conditions of Lam's arrest, Judge Arapi invited the defendant to give explanations about the charge of "Abuse of duty" that the prosecution brought against him.
But even before the court, Lam has refused to speak, not giving any details or reasons, why he was constantly hanging out with Ervis Martini and what is the fate of the latter. In his decision, judge Aurel Arapi argued that:
"... J eton Lami, using his function as an employee of the State Police, where with active actions and inactions he helped the person announced for international wanted, Ervis Martini, to evade the justice bodies, by not executing the orders of a the court decision for his arrest ..."./ OraNews
