The vice-president of the Muslim Community of Albania, Taulant Bica, in "Breaking" on Top News, explained the reasons why they did not participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Namazgja mosque in Tirana.

He said that they received an invitation, but the Presidency of the KMSH decided to be represented only by the mufti of Tirana.

You weren't, did you attend?

KMSH vice president, Taulant Bica:  It was a finalization and crowning of today's day. The invitation for the Albanian Muslim community to come had to be from the Albanian state, and so it happened. It definitely came. KMSH was invited by the Albanian leaders. According to the decision that the presidency made by evaluating the invitation that came, it was judged that the Mufti of Tirana should be present, it is more natural and expected that the number 1 representative of an institution should be present at such important inaugurations as this one, but there are policies that the community judges to be represented in the second or third rank.

But this was not the case for the importance, is politics interfering in religious matters?

Bica:  Politics does not enter into religious matters, the deadlocks that have been made have been discussed a lot...

Why did you make this decision to be represented only by the mufti?

Bica:  This is a decision that belongs to the Presidency, the invitation was addressed to KMSH and the Presidency judges that it should be represented with the Mufti, there is no need for further judgments. It is important that this mosque was opened and given to the believers a moment ago to give a solution to the situation and to show that the KMSH was open to this mosque being given to the Albanians as soon as possible, it is judged for the benefit of all parties, we do not have to become an obstacle, it is enough for the work to move forward.
