The Council of Ministers approved in its meeting, at the proposal of the Ministry of Defense, the decision that improves the financial treatment of the personnel of the Armed Forces.

About 6,000 employees will benefit from this decision; 2,500 of them receive the salary supplement for the first time.

Special Forces, pilots, engineers and maintenance technicians, the Cyber ​​Unit, Drones, dedicated civil emergency forces and many, many other capacities will benefit from better financial treatment.

The financial treatment for flying and support personnel, according to this decision, will vary up to 100,000 lek above the salary per month and about 200 military personnel benefit from this decision.

For the operatives of the Intelligence Agency, the financial treatment above the salary goes up to 20,000 lek per month for about 150 military personnel.

For active military personnel of other structures, the salary supplement goes up to 70,000 lek per month, including those military personnel who have not previously benefited from this supplement.

The decision was proposed by the Minister of Defense and comes only 4 months after the salary increase that was made for certain categories of the Armed Forces.

" From 2022, the salaries of the FA personnel have undergone the largest increase in history, of almost 40%. The Ministry of Defense and the government are committed to invest so that the financial treatment of the FA personnel is increased every year, to align them with the average level of the countries of the NATO Alliance, while considering it an investment for national security. This decision aims to strengthen national capacities and improve the quality of Civil Defense services ," the Ministry of Defense announced.
