August gunfight in Bushat, GJKKO Appeal upholds prison arrest for Sakica and
Samuel Troshani and Izmir Sakica

The Special Court's appeal has upheld the prison sentence for Samuel Troshani and Izmir Sakica, arrested for the August 2024 gunfight in Rranxë, Bushati.

Franko Leka and Aleksandër Prendi remain wanted for the Bushat gun attack. They have been charged with being part of a structured criminal group.

According to SPAK, Sakica, Troshani and Leka, along with several other unidentified people, armed and in armored vehicles, headed towards Bushat to kill members of the Prendi family. But as soon as the armed group reached Bushat, Aleksandër Prendi spotted them and opened fire on the armored vehicles.

According to SPAK, there was an exchange of fire after various shell casings were found at the scene, but the cause of the collision still remains a mystery.
