Americans return to SPAK! OPDAT experts 'resume' the task left

The US Department of State and the Office of Government Effectiveness are in the final stages of identifying which projects will be cut off from funding and which will continue to be funded. And it appears that support for justice reform in Albania will continue.

The American OPDAT experts, who left at the end of January following Donald Trump's order to suspend foreign aid funds, returned this Wednesday to the prosecutor's office and the special court.

Unofficial sources from Top News confirm that the same experts who were there before they left entered the SPAK building shortly after noon on Wednesday and were accommodated in the same premises where they performed their duties before leaving.

Their return to SPAK also heralds the return of other American experts from the OPDAT mission, stationed at the state police and the Police Supervision Agency.

The experts are paid by the United States of America through the foreign assistance line for strengthening institutions and the rule of law in Albania, which after the review in Washington is not included in the projects being canceled.
