Assets worth over 300 thousand euros have been seized from an Albanian in Italy.
These are real estate assets, bank accounts and a car.
The Albanian, whose identity is not being disclosed, is convicted of creating a well-organized drug distribution network.
His group, as the media writes, specialized in selling cocaine and hashish in Varese and other provinces in Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna.
He was known as the "Big Boss" and had turned this illegal business into an organized pyramid structure that functioned like a real company.
The "big boss" personally took care of everything. He brought compatriots to Italy on tourist visas, staying in the neighboring country for only 90 days according to the rules of the Schengen area.
Once they arrived in Italy, new recruits were put into the system. They were provided with accommodation, a car, cell phones, and drugs to begin the distribution process.
To avoid detection, the group set up an operations room in an apartment. An operator would receive customer requests via WhatsApp and send them to distributors via anonymous platforms.
Logistics had been taken care of down to the smallest detail. A warehouse was used to store cars, drugs, and weapons.
Despite being penniless on paper, "The Big Boss" lived with his family in a house registered in his brother's name.
The latter was his closest collaborator.
The financial analysis showed that members of this family were the leaders of the organization.
To hide the proceeds from drug distribution, the family had also opened a pizzeria to launder the money.
