Yesterday evening, gunshots were recorded at Kthesa e Kamza and luckily no one was injured.
The Traffic Section in the Tirana Directorate had undertaken an operation in this area, near the Malaysian palaces.
The operation was to arrest people involved in smuggling.
However, it remains unclear whether the shots were fired by the police, or by the people who were to be arrested. There is still no notification from the police, the circumstances are expected to be clarified.
We remind you that the Kamza Bend area is considered a "hot zone" in terms of the trafficking of illegal immigrants. There is mainly the gathering of people whose destination is the north of Albania, with the final destination being the EU countries.
