The Constitutional Court has partially accepted the review of the request made by the "strongman" of Nikla, Flamur Haka, who seeks the abrogation of the decision of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, which in 2021 decided to confiscate his properties, which were seized by OFL. OFL asked Flamur Haka on February 28, 2020 to justify the property, which he then seized until the GJKKO decided to confiscate it permanently.

Flamur Haka is a former convict as part of the infamous gang known as the "Nikla Gang". In February 2008, he was found guilty by the Serious Crimes Court, which sentenced him to 16 years in prison. But he remained in prison for only 9 years, from the moment of his arrest, after serving the rest of his sentence with occasional reductions and then on parole.

The "Nickel gang" was hit during an operation in 2005, while members were accused of 7 violent robberies, one kidnapping and one assassination.

The leader of this group was Flamur Haka, the person who was escorted yesterday during the police operation. According to the representatives of the Prosecution who in 2008 sought the sentence of 91 years imprisonment for the members of the group, the accused had committed the criminal offenses in cooperation with each other, but led by Haka. He was one of the leaders who decided on the target and the robbery plan. These individuals, as subject to the special law, must respond in writing, within 48 hours, to all OFL questions.

It will be the Special Court that will decide whether or not to seize the assets of Haka and Cela. The decision of this court states: “The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, composed of: Vitore Tusha, President, Marsida Xhaferllari, Elsa Toska, Altin Binaj, Përparim Kalo, Sonila Bejtja, Sander Beci, Fiona Papajorgji, members, with secretary Belma Lleshi, on 24.05.2022 took into consideration in the plenary session on the basis of documents the case no. 4 (F) 2021 Act of the Basic Register ”.

Who is Flamur Haka?

Flamur Haka  është ish-i dënuar si pjesë e bandës famëkeqe të njohur si “Banda e Niklës”. Në shkurt të vitit 2008, është shpallur fajtor nga Gjykata e Krimeve të Rënda, e cila e ka dënuar me 16 vite burgim. Por ai qëndroi në qeli vetëm 9 vjet, që nga momenti i arrestimit, pasi pjesën tjetër të dënimit e shleu me ulje të herëpashershme e më pas në liri me kusht.

“Banda e Niklës” u godit gjatë  një operacioni të zhvilluar në vitin 2005, ndërsa anëtarët ishin të akuzuar për 7 grabitje me dhunë, një rrëmbim personi dhe një atentat. Drejtuesi i këtij grupi ishte Flamur Haka, personi që u shoqërua dje gjatë operacionit të Policisë.
