Niko Peleshi sends soldiers with shovels to put out the fire on Mount Chika
Soldiers on a mission to put out the fire

For four days, Mali i Çika in the municipality of Himara continues to be under fire as the outbreaks have spread, approaching the residential areas.

However, the Ministry of Defense does not yet have an aerial intervention plan to make it possible to extinguish the fire.

Today, the Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi has released the photos of the firefighters and the military troops of the FA, who with shovels in their hands take the road to Mount Chika to put out the flames.

"The fire in the place called "Palikonjë", Mali i Çika in the municipality of Himara continues to remain active.

A massive operation has been organized on the ground to extinguish it, where about 100 troops of the Armed Forces and 20 forces from the local fire brigade, the Administration of Protected Areas and employees of the Himarë municipality have been engaged", writes Peleshi.
