The second heat wave that has gripped Albania will not last for long. Wednesday will be the hottest day, while the highest temperatures will be recorded in some counties which will reach 40 degrees.
"The maxima are in some counties, not in the entire territory. Shkodra, the district of Elbasan, Gjirokastra, as well as the district of Berat, we expect to record temperatures of 40 or slightly above 40 degrees," said forecaster Lajda Porja in a television interview.
While after Wednesday, temperatures will return to normal values, and rainfall will also be recorded in mountainous areas and in some parts of the coast.
"Starting from Thursday there is a retreat of the tide. Clouds will be present, from time to time there will be showers. More focused will be in mountainous areas, but Friday and Saturday expands the precipitation map. Only the south coast will be saved," said Porja.
But the heat will not go away with August. For all those who have rested in the first weeks of this month, there is good news. Autumn will enter with summer temperatures.
"The first 15 days of September will be the continuation of August where we will have temperatures of 32 or some special area and 33 degrees. The presence of precipitation will be very little, there will be more sunny days in September".
This second wave, although it will not record temperatures like the one we left behind in July, will be felt more because of the humidity.
