A 51-year-old man has been handcuffed by police after being charged with arson.

It is about ded lleshi, 51, from the village of Manati in Lezha, who lit fire to burn the remains of wheat but the flames got out of control, scorching four dynyms of land.

In the meantime, Lezha Police appeals to citizens not to start fires in any case, as this action constitutes a crime and is penally punished, and invites them to denounce in number 112 any such case, in order to intervene immediately for the extinguishing of the fires and criminal prosecution of the responsible citizens.

Today, a 19-year-old man was arrested in Lushnje, who was paid to burn the bushes of a field, but the fire escape burned 20 hectares of land.
