Bad weather in Vau i Dejës. The Glina River risks overflowing its banks,

Local Civil Protection structures have provided details on the situation in the Shkodra region as a result of the bad weather.

It is reported that in the Municipality of Vau i Dejës there has been flooding in several homes, while the Glina River is in danger of overflowing its banks.

"In the five municipalities of the Shkodër District (Shkodër, Malësi e Madhe, Vau Dejës, Pukë and Fushë Arrëz) rainfall continues, mainly with high intensity.
* In the Fushë Arrëz municipality, falling stones and inert materials are reported on rural roads as well as the presence of water on road axes.
* Lezhë Irrigation and Drainage Directorate: From about 150 mm of very intense rainfall in the last 24 hours, so far no problems have been found in the main drainage channels, in the protective embankments or in the Shtoder reservoir dam. The situation is being monitored on the ground by employees and will be intervened in case of problems.
* Shkodër Municipality: In the administrative unit Gur i Zi (center), measures are being taken to clean the bridge and the stream that has caused problems; additional means have also been made available for intervention.
* Vau Dejës Municipality: Flooding of homes is reported in the administrative units Bushat, Vau Dejës and Hajmel, according to current reports. The Glina River is in danger of overflowing its banks and consequently flooding 1/3 of the city's territory.

"The situation continues to be continuously monitored by all relevant structures," the announcement states.
