A large fire engulfed a tire shop this afternoon in the Shkozet area, in Durrës, causing significant material damage.

Four fire services have arrived at the scene to bring the flames under control. Due to the risk of the fire spreading in the surrounding areas, the police have diverted traffic on the roads near the tire shop and have temporarily stopped the circulation of vehicles.

As a precautionary measure, part of the Shkozet neighborhood faced power outages to avoid further risks.

Fortunately, no injured people are reported, while the timely intervention of the firefighters made it possible to prevent the spread of the fire to the surrounding businesses and apartments.

Authorities are still at the scene and work is continuing to determine the causes of the fire.
