Shkodra Police Destroy 1987 Cannabis Plants, 3 Village Heads Prosecuted

Shkodra Police, during checks in the territory, found and destroyed 1987 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants.

Following the police operation codenamed "Coordinates", aimed at cracking down on cases of cultivation of narcotic plants in the territory of the administrative units of Gur i Zi and Postribë, the services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat found and destroyed 186 suspected narcotic plants of cannabis sativa.

"The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated in the absence of the criminal offense "Abuse of Office", for the mayor of the village of Shpor, citizen MC, for the mayor of the village of Ura e Shtrenjt, citizen RM, and for the mayor of the village of Vilez, citizen FL."

"In the territory of the Shllak administrative unit, the services of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat found and destroyed 1,801 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants," the police announced.

Work continues to identify, capture and hold accountable the perpetrators of the cultivation of narcotic plants.
