Pandi Nakoleci, the 40-year-old Albanian who killed his wife Marjola Nakoleci, 36, in front of their children in Volos, appeared in court on Sunday.
As soon as he arrived, reporters asked him, "Why did you do it?" and if he regretted it, however, he remained silent and with his head down.
Greek media write that inside the court, he met his 18-year-old daughter, to whom he reportedly told: "I was confused, I didn't want to do it."
The prosecutor filed a criminal complaint against him for intentional homicide against a victim of domestic violence.
The investigating officer then gave him a deadline to apologize on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
The prosecutor's office ordered a social investigation into the couple's minor children, who are currently staying with their mother's relatives.
After killing his wife, the 40-year-old went into hiding for more than 24 hours, trying to evade arrest. However, he was found hiding in the grass of a plot of land, about 200 meters from his home, in an old parking lot.
Eyewitnesses and neighbors reported that during his arrest he was shouting at police that he had killed his wife because she was cheating on him. "I did it right. She deserved this. I don't regret anything," were allegedly the 40-year-old killer's first words.
