Prime Minister Edi Rama indicated today that an agreement has been reached with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for Albanian immigrants.
During his speech to journalists after the meeting with district leaders, Rama said that "Albanian crime" does not exist because crime has no ethnicity.
Rama emphasized that what has been reached with the British government is not a new agreement, as he added that the British Prime Minister expressed his regret for what happened.
Rama said that if "the chances of getting political asylum in Germany, France, Holland, Sweden are zero, then look for it in yourself, look for it in the British system, don't look for it at all neither in the government of Albania nor in those who leave to come to you because they cannot get a visa".
"This is a request of mine since when Johnson was foreign minister and I have repeated it over and over because every time they have come and shared this concern with us, I have been consistent, don't talk about Albanian crime because it doesn't exist. crime is crime and has no ethnicity. If you have a problem and you want our help because we have been chosen, we are ready to set up a special team that will deal 24 hours in real time to identify, share information and finally stop those elements that have organized these networks of clandestine traffic.
This time, I had a very substantive conversation with the last prime minister because they have changed a lot and he has taken it upon himself not only to say "beautiful, beautiful", but also to push it forward. We made an agreement because it is not a new agreement. It's all there, the important thing is that the British Prime Minister expressed his unequivocal regret for what happened. Unfortunately, the Albanian community has been placed in a completely wrong light, it has expressed to me the considerations for cooperation, for the common progress, it has expressed to me the desire to meet soon, and then we have stopped at this part where I have repeated the same principle. The Albanian community in all countries brings only added value. Those problematic elements do not represent the Albanian community anywhere, they are the outcasts of a nation like any nation.
And 2 points: If the chances of getting political asylum in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden are zero, then look for it yourself, look for it in the British system, don't look for it at all neither in the government of Albania nor in those who leave for who came to you because they cannot get a visa".
We recall that today, speaking in front of the parliament, Sunak said that the agreement aims to end the flow of illegal Albanian immigrants to Great Britain.
