Hoxha duke u ndalur tek kjo ngjarje e rëndë ka theksuar se Otit të Elbasanit është hera e dytë që kërkohet të eliminohet. Ai sipas Hoxhës ka kërkuar mbrojtje, por shteti nuk e ka thirrur as për të dëshmuar për ngjarje të tilla.
