In Albania, according to journalist Artan Hoxha, there are two periods where there is a great increase in the intensity of crimes in Albania, August and December. According to the journalist, this is due to the arrival of immigrants and a decrease in vigilance by persons involved in crimes, due to the celebrations.

Hoxha appealed to the police to increase measures to protect citizens and prevent criminal events as much as possible.

Among other things, Hoxha also focused on the fate of Ervis Martinaj, saying that he was kidnapped and disappeared, and after this situation, the world of crime seems to have fallen into a momentary calm.

Further, the journalist has shown the 5 cities that according to him are in a critical situation in terms of organized crime, which are Shkodra, Fieri, Vlora, Elbasan and Durrës.

According to Hoxha, even though the situation is calm at the moment, Shkodra continues to be more problematic because according to him the gangs still have unresolved accounts between them.

"We have a false calm before the storm. We have Shkodra, which is not as calm a situation as it seems. That the situation is frozen and not resolved. There are some conflicts there. The police and the Prosecutor's Office did not react. The murder of Bardhok Pllana, Fatbardh Licit. The murder of Asmer Bilal's uncle and father. They just don't come out so openly in the city anymore, but they are there waiting. The situation is dangerous," said Hoxha in ABC.

Durrës, according to Hoxha, continues to remain problematic due to the war to control the port where drug cargoes mainly enter.

"For a long time, the balances have shifted. New groups of operators have emerged that control Durrës. The situation is not so calm. The good fortune is that the leaders of the groups are abroad, mainly in Dubai, and they do not break out into conflicts here," said Hoxha.

As for Elbasan, Hoxha emphasized that the conflicts continue, although it seems as if the gangs have fallen into a lull.

As for Fier, Artan Hoxha said that the situation is not calm at all, since the murder of Demir Baçka. According to him, those inside Fier know who did it, while the police still do not have a perpetrator.

Even Vlora, according to Hoxha, is a red zone because of the balances in the world of crime that move from time to time.
