"My mother died of pathological causes. When this happened, I decided to bury her with the help of Jan , an Albanian , because I was facing financial problems. I had no money and I needed it."

The 62-year-old director of KEP in Viotia, who is accused of burying her mother near her home, tried to justify the crime she committed.

The investigation into the circumstances in which the unprecedented incident occurred is still ongoing, with police officers trying to shed light on the event.

One of the questions raised by investigators is who this " Jani " is to whom the accused refers.

She said the Albanian was a worker in the village, but so far no one who has spoken to the police has identified him.

Investigators consider his discovery essential because, according to the accused, he was the person who helped her transport and bury her mother.

The question is whether this man really exists, since, as mentioned above, no one knows him or has seen him.

As for the 62-year-old's mother, residents told authorities that they had not seen her since 2021 and that the accused repeatedly told them that she was in a nursing home.
