Over 8,000 cannabis plants destroyed, 5 village heads in Shkodra prosecuted

During checks in the territory of Shkodra, 8,028 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants were found and destroyed by the police.

As part of the police operation codenamed "Coordination", 5 village mayors were criminally prosecuted for abuse of office, specifically in Ndrejaj, Lekaj, Nicaj, Plan and the village of Kir.

In the territory of the Kelmend administrative unit, the services of the Malësi e Madhe Police Commissariat found and destroyed 780 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants.

In the territory of the Temal administrative unit, the services of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat found and destroyed 175 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants.

Work continues to identify, capture and hold accountable the perpetrators of the cultivation of narcotic plants.
