The Commission for the Protection of Judges, which includes the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice, members of the High Council of Judges, the head of the Special Court Erjon Bani, and State Police officials , have approved additional protection measures for judge Irena Gjoka , where in addition to the guard tasked with protecting SPAK judges and prosecutors, there will also be officers from the special protection unit.

The details of the threat to the anti-corruption judge and the indications of her endangerment are kept secret by the authorities.

Gjoka has had protection before, not only because of her duties as deputy president of the Special Court, but also as rapporteur of strong and publicly known cases, one of which was the Partizani file.

Earlier, as a judge in the Partizani case, at the height of the accusations against her, the authorities assessed that the judge was at risk and therefore assigned bodyguards to her.

Currently, the commission has special protection from the state for Judge Gentian Muça, after TNT was placed in the vehicle she and her prosecutor husband were using almost five years ago.
