A serious crime has occurred in an Albanian family in Austria, where the man of Kosovo origin killed his 38-year-old wife.

According to Austrian media, the incident occurred on Sunday at around 6:30 PM in Sooß, Baden Municipality, while the woman was reportedly found in the yard of her apartment with wounds to her body caused by a cutting tool, as well as a firearm.

The suspected perpetrator, a 47-year-old man who has not yet been identified, was quickly apprehended by police and is now in custody.

According to investigators, the couple had been arguing frequently recently, but the motive for the violent act remains unclear. An autopsy has also been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.

A pistol firearm suspected to have been used by the perpetrator was also found at the scene.
