GoFundMe for Parashqevi Simaku

A fundraising account to help singer Parashqevi Simaku has been opened on GoFundMe.

The fundraising was started by entrepreneur Elton Ilirjani, who has set a goal of a significant but necessary figure to ensure a sustainable return of the Albanian singer from the street to normal life.

The goal is to raise $1 million. Here is Ilirjan's message for this organization:

My name is Elton Ilirjani, an international entrepreneur and fashion model living in New York City, United States of America.

I created this fundraising initiative because I was inspired and deeply moved by the story and extremely successful artistic achievements of Mrs. Parashqevi Simaku (Nolfe) – our Albanian Diva singer – due to her current difficult situation and condition.

Her artistic contribution to Albanian culture and music - both traditional and contemporary - especially in the 1980s and 1990s has left an indelible mark on the memories of Albanians, who grew up enjoying her songs (and melodious voice) that she interpreted so wonderfully.

Today is our moment to show our Diva the utmost care, love, respect and admiration for her immense contribution to Albanian culture and music in general.

I can absolutely assure you that every penny raised through this fundraising campaign will be properly managed and will go only for her well-being, interest and prosperity, so that we can try as hard as possible to restore to Mrs. Simaku the dignity, respect and admiration that we as a nation have for her.

On behalf of Mrs. Simaku, I thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes, and any financial contributions you can offer.

Honestly,

Elton Ilirjani
