ARRESTS

A cocaine and other hard drug distribution network has been hit during a police operation in the cities of Saranda and Delvina.

11 people have been arrested, accused of drug distribution, while doses of cocaine, cannabis, vehicles and significant amounts of cash have been seized.

Police announcement:

The police operation codenamed "Network" is being finalized, targeting a criminal group that was engaged in the sale of narcotics in doses, mainly in Saranda and Delvina.

11 security measures "Arrest in prison" are being executed for members of this group.

A 36-year-old man was also arrested in flagrante delicto during the operation, who was in possession of cocaine and illegal items.

As a result of investigative actions carried out with proactive methods and with the support of Police Intelligence, by the Narcotics Investigation and Operational Structures at the Vlora Police Department, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, the police operation codenamed "The Network" was finalized, to crack down on a group that was selling doses of cocaine and cannabis, mainly in Saranda and Delvina.

During this operation, the security measures "Arrest in prison" assigned by the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda were executed, for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration, against the following citizens:

MH, 35 years old and EH, 26 years old (brothers), residents of Delvina;

FA, 35 years old and OA, 29 years old (brothers), residents of Delvina;

Xh. M., 27 years old and SM, 21 years old (brothers), residents of Delvina;

ET, 30 years old, JI, 32 years old and DQ, 35 years old, residents of Delvina;

EH, 68 years old and MD, 42 years old, both residents of Saranda.

Also, citizen PB, 49 years old, resident of Delvina, has been declared wanted.

Also, following this operation, citizen AC, 36 years old, born and residing in Saranda, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Production and sale of narcotics", "Production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons without a permit" and "Unlawful possession of a uniform", after during the search of his apartment and vehicle, doses of the narcotic substance cocaine, a radio like those of the Police and metal batons were found and seized.

During the operation, a total of: 120 doses of cocaine, doses of cannabis, 18 mobile phones, 1 tablet, 4 vehicles, 2 motorcycles, 2 radios like those of the Police, 2 metal batons, 2 electronic scales and a sum of money suspected of having been obtained from this criminal activity, specifically: 40,000 euros, 2,980 dollars, 260 pounds and 1,940,000 lekë, were seized.

The Fier Rapid Intervention Forces and the Eagle Special Force at the Vlora DVP were also engaged in the successful completion of this operation.

Investigative actions continue, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, to fully document the criminal activity of this group, as well as to identify and capture other citizens involved.

The materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
