University applications are open, graduates can choose 10 study programs in

Graduates who have completed high school can apply online on the UAlbania portal from today to win a place at the university where they want to pursue higher studies for the academic year 2023-2024. The UAlbania portal will be open from July 29 to August 3.

Graduates can apply for 10 study programs, while unlike other years, the number of registration rounds has been reduced

myth in the university from 3 to two rounds. After the second round, in the study programs where there are still free admission quotas, candidates who have applied to U-Albania can continue to register directly at the HEI until all quotas are filled.

Meanwhile, all students who will choose the priority branches will benefit from a scholarship equal to the minimum salary, while there will be no average criteria. In contrast to the decision of 2022, the Government decided to remove the average criterion in order to encourage graduates to choose to study for priority branches, where they will benefit from the scholarship worth 40 thousand ALL, but with the condition that after the end of the study will work for 3 years in Albania.

Also, for the first time, the government will provide students with loans to enable them to cover fees and the cost of living during higher studies. It will be the National Higher Education Financing Agency that will negotiate with the second-tier banks that the student loan is granted without physical collateral. The loan interest rate will be unchanged throughout the duration of the loan contract. Beneficiaries will be all students, but the condition for this is that the loan is approved only for a study program, for bachelor's or for master's.
