The drowning of the 6-year-old Albanian girl, Amelia, in Greece, has shocked public opinion, while the finger has been pointed at her father for causing this tragedy.

Greek media have published shocking new details about the case. The father had taken the boat from his ex-wife, and they had entered the sea in clothes, to then climb into a boat where the little girl often sat and drew.

The father stated that the girl was wearing a life jacket, but when he tried to get her into the boat, she slipped out of the jacket and fell into the water.

" We ate in a restaurant, and my daughter saw the boat and asked me to go to the boat so she could draw it. We went into the sea, and when I tried to lift it on top of the boat, it slipped out of my hands and fell into the water. He didn't know how to swim. I didn't dive to save him because I have asthma ", he declared.

Meanwhile, the evidence says that her father, after the incident, got out of the sea, went home and charged his phone, because according to him, there was no battery. But even though he testified that he wanted to turn on the phone to call the ambulance, he never did such a thing.

The minor was spotted by a fisherman, who found her under the boat, without signs of life.

The little girl's mother learned the news from a neighbor, while she says that her ex-husband did not inform her about the tragedy.

A witness who was in the difficult moments of receiving the news from the mother, says that she was in a state of shock, she could not even walk and said only a few words: My daughter! Why did you do this to my daughter?! Why didn't you do it to me?!

The 42-year-old father was put in handcuffs immediately after the incident, while he has already been released, on the condition that he appear at the police station in the following months.

He is accused of exposing the minor's life to danger, but not of murder, while the investigations are expected to continue for the full investigation.

There are many questions that arise in this case... Why did the child go into the sea wearing clothes, even sandals? Why were her father's clothes dry? Why didn't he ask for help, but got out of the sea, went to charge his phone and then announced?!

The fisherman who found the child stated that he found the little one blackened on the face under the boat, raising suspicions that she had been underwater for a long time.
