A criminal gang that targeted celebrities and business leaders has been dismantled by French authorities.

Six suspects, including the alleged ringleader, have been charged after a series of daring robberies.

Seven people were arrested as part of this operation.

The first two were arrested on January 20 in Luxembourg, while the other five were captured on March 4 near Reims.

 Among them, six were indicted, including the alleged leader of the network, Edison Pula , an Albanian in his thirties.

The latter, wanted by Interpol, was already known for his numerous escapes, including a spectacular one in June 2022 from an Italian prison.

Edison Pula was also sentenced by the Court of Appeal to 14 years in prison for this incident.

The French police have "christened" the group of thieves with the name Nikla.
