11 people and a 48-year-old Albanian, Elidon Buxheli , have been arrested by Italian police after a major raid by the State Police against drug trafficking in several Italian regions.
According to Italian media , the 48-year-old Albanian ran a criminal network between Puglia, Molise and Marche.
The Albanian is suspected of promoting, organizing and directing the illegal activity together with Di Nauta and Cursio.
According to the more than 100 pages of the preliminary warrant, the drugs were also placed outside the region, with trips from Lesina to San Benedetto del Tronto where 13 kilograms of hashish were sold. The area of Ruvo di Puglia was also targeted.
Unspecified quantities of cocaine were allegedly brought from Lesina to Cerignola by Buxheli himself and it is also said that the Albanian acted as a supplier of hashish and white powder for Cursio, Sacco, Folla and Di Nauta.
Buxhel's name is mentioned in the documents of the order of investigating judge Bencivenga.
According to investigators, he is the director of drug trafficking that supplies Italian areas with drugs from the Adriatic coast.
A key figure in the drug market, capable of managing the movement of large quantities of cocaine and cannabis, maintaining contacts with importers.
The profile of the Albanian "ghost"
The letters reveal an accurate portrait of Elidon Buxhel: a smart, cautious, and suspicious character to the point of paranoia.
He never takes anyone with him, speaks very little even to his co-workers, and can stay in the car for hours without saying a word.
Communicates only via WhatsApp, rarely using the traditional telephone line.
He is so cautious that, during banal conversations, he freezes if he perceives even vaguely the idea of a wiretap or the presence of an infiltrator.
He only frequents "tested" meeting points that are determined long ago.
He is the person who supplies Cursion and Sacco with the narcotic substance, managing contacts and movements as an intermediary in illegality.
Elidon Buxheli is so cautious that he has earned the nickname "The Bad Dwarf" among his associates, due to his short stature and obsessive distrust.
During the investigation period, he used three cars registered in the name of third parties, but all of them were in fact for his exclusive use.
Thanks to wiretaps and GPS data, it was proven that he frequented the house in via Santa Maria in Campomarino (CB), where Cursio and Sacco lived together and where the man had been under house arrest since January 2024.
