Just a few minutes after the news that SPAK has summoned Sali Berisha to testify about the January 21 protest where four citizens were killed, the lawyer for the leader of the Democratic Party reacted.

In response, Genc Gjokutaj states that there is no announcement yet. He accuses prosecutors of a "political agenda" saying that the summons was released to the media before it was communicated to Berisha.

Gjokutaj's statement:

Dear Friends!

In the 3:00 PM news, it was announced that Mr. Sali Berisha would be summoned to SPAK on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM regarding the January 21 investigations!

In my capacity as Mr. Berisha's defense attorney, I would like to clarify that there is no notification from him as claimed.

This false and undisclosed announcement is made by institutions and prosecutors who are paid to uncover the truth and not to slander! The release of an undisclosed announcement in the media shows and proves once again the political agenda in service of the Government by SPAK!

But as always, once a liar, always a liar! G
