The head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, was also asked in the committee about the Balluku case and whether the Parliament's decision not to lift his immunity has harmed the investigations. Braho said that despite the Parliament's decision, SPAK has continued its work and investigations and that at a certain point there will be a relevant decision.
Ivi Kaso: Has the criminal prosecution of the Balluku case been damaged? The investigations have continued and Balluku's procedural position has worsened, more serious charges have been communicated to his associates, actions have been taken to seize assets that are presumed to be hidden assets of the former deputy prime minister. You have not yet addressed the assembly with a new request for the lifting of immunity. How should this be interpreted from our side? When they said no, we appreciate when immunity is lifted, is this behavior that prompted you to address the assembly again with another request for the lifting of immunity?
Klodian Braho: The prosecution has been clear about what it has requested. But today I cannot assess the position of the assembly on the decision-making. I cannot give concrete details, it is a concrete issue, but at a later moment the prosecution will have a relevant decision-making. SPAK has reflected in the closed-door discussion what it has requested and the reaction of the prosecution after the decision-making of the Assembly is clear.
